Artist Statement:

My most recent work focuses on the theme of wetland landscapes.  I enter into another world when I first step foot on a trail.  There is so much to see and possibilities to explore.  Reflections can become my focal point, or even a burst of light through a dark cloudy sky or perhaps the song of a bird, heard but not seen. 

High tide or low tide, it all excites and encourages me to be fluid and bold in my handling of the pastels.  I depict the sense of beauty and contemplative quality I feel as I walk the wetland trails.  I hope a bit of the magic and enjoyment I experience is shared through my work.
